Sweyn by Mikkel Nyboe

And for my private collection, Mikkel Nyboe (@Gurer - the blog) did this wonderful Sweyn.

Sweyn, Ewal Dvergr Champion

Mikkel has commented the painting on his own blog - so if you want to read about - you should stop by.

Personally, I love it - colour scheme is "all me". Those that have seen my own works at the Clamshell-blog will now that I'm a sucker for Red and Green dwarfs - and I think, Mikkel managed to pick everything out in a nice balanced way on this beautiful sculpt by Sjoerd Trouwee.

Thanks, Mikkel :)

A couple of Dvergar by Mikkel Nyboe

Friend of the Ewal Dwergar, Mikkel Nyboe (@Gurer - the blog) has painted a few Ewal Dvergar for his personal collection - and they are certainly worth being shared:

Set #2 Ewal Dvergr Grenadier

Set #2 Core Warrior, Ewal Dvergr with a Two-handed Sword

These guys looks so good painted. Mikkel did such a fantastic job on both of them and really managed to pick out every little detail on these. Very well done, Mikkel - I'm so flattered :)

While waiting for Griffin Moulds' finishing touch on all the new stuff ..... why not share more of Mikkel Nyboe's wonderful paintings?  :)

Ewal Dvergar Core Warriors set #1

That boy really makes me proud :)

Gobbo Dwarf by Mikkel Nyboe

For his own personal collection, Mikkel Nyboe has painted another dwarf of mine. This one he calls "Gobbo Dwarf" and use a standard set #1 body and a still not released champion head (the one with an open-visor/face mask that could look like a Goblin head ;-) ).

Here is the pictures - but you can read more about him on Mikkel's own blog: http://mikkelnyboe.blogspot.dk.

Excellent paintjob and use of colours. I just love that green armour and look at the facial details... fantastic ... and the shield ... WOW!...it's  really outstanding ... wonderful, wonderful freehand. Good to know that he has a full set in his positions :)

Johann, by Mikkel Nyboe (part 2)

Have already shared Mikkel Nyboe's Johann pictures with you all, but now that I had the camera out, I made these here. So here is an almost 360 degree tour around Johann, by Mikkel Nyboe:

Johann, Ewal Dvergr Champion

I just can't stop looking at this master piece.... can you? :D

Johann, painted by Mikkel Nyboe

Okay, when I can't man up to paint my miniature myself - I'll better let someone else do the hard work.

I have been following Mikkel Nyboe's blog/site for years and am a great fan of his work and totally love his style of painting. A style that fit most fantasy ranges so very well.

Mikkel have been around the painting scene for years and have painted lots of stunning and wonderful miniatures, so I found it pretty obvious to try and convince him to do the Johann miniature for me. And it wasn't really that hard, cause - like myself - Mikkel has a great passion for "old school" fantasy so my line of miniatures must have seemed tasty enough to convince him. And while I've be enjoying my holiday in Portugal - Mikkel have been working hard, very hard.

So, here here his is - in all his glory:

Johann, Ewal Dvergr Champion

Thanks, Mikkel - you did one hell of a job :-)
